Brum, thanks for the comprehensive list, I will see if I can find a set off the 98-01 Corolla if they are the right diameter rim. The thing that sealed the deal on the frontcut was the larger disks (275mm x 25mm) that were bolt on for my car and will make my std 238mm look tiny.

I have been looking at the pictures for the plenum for the silvertop and I am wondering if it may be suitable for some positive pressure. Some say no other suggest 4 or even 10psi. I only want up to 7psi since I will be uing the std. pistons (high CR).

The plenum looks to be made of steel and if so I was thinking of making it more suitable for boost by using a metal flange to go under each of the trumpets to improve the seal there. The other place it is likely to leak must be around the bolts that hold it together so it should be possible to add extra bracing to stop the gap opening through buckling. This will keep it looking original and means I can do it myself.

Does anyone (who has examined these) think it may work.

For some reason that list doesn't include 94-98 Corollas, which do also have 4x100 (I think +38). in short, all FWD Corollas apart from the most current model (ZRE152, which has 5x114.3) have 4x100 PCD, and offsets between +38 and +45-odd

They are fairly stout, but as you mention v6 camry ones are way way bigger.

Clutch on a AE95 is also bigger than your regular AE92 too.

Since the rear end is a T-series, you can get a LSD from lots of manufacturers.

It's embarrassing knowing so much about all wheel drive corollas :s
I've pondered this often... Any thoughts on what the effects of a LSD would be on the AE95 4wd wagon?

I know the diff ratios aren't the same.
    Say....
If I wanted to use my wagon on steep, sometimes wet & winding dirt roads & I was using the diff lock button, would LSD be better or worse?

    &

If better ..then what about the ratio?? ..How low can you go with the T-series diff ratios??

Putting the turbo onto my car "as is", is not in a push for serious power, just a nice improvement and hopefully an economy gain as turbos and LPG are well suited. If I come to like the car, the drivetrain can b upgraded to handle some reasonable power then I can see some serious consideration going into a much stronger engine.

So far I have not really even checked out the car. I bought it on the Friday, installed the new belts to get it running, changed the oils etc and CV boots. I was busy over the weekend then left home on the Monday to go back to work.

Do you have any pics so I can see what is meant by the notch missing?

The A series engine certainly has a bunch of options and experienced modifiers if big power is the ultimate goal.
    RE: drivetrain.

It's actually really strong, the diff is quite large for a vehicle of it's size too,

Here's what lars had to say: He put a 4agze into one of these years ago & turbo'd it...

"PLEASE DONT ASK HOW THE GEARBOX HANDLED!! Im sick of everyone saying a 20valve or GZE will break the gearbox!!!
The guy who bought it off me, installed a microtech computer on it, wound it up to 18psi and did red-limter 4 wheel skids in it quite often. He said he wanted to break the gearbox, but couldn't!!

As 'Kebin' will show on his thread, the internals of the gearbox are very similar to the Celica GT4."
