    Thanks for the link, yeh I saw that before but its a 14" and that's too big for the ae86 radiator as its about 12 inches and a bit from the top to bottom. I do have a drill and 2 sets of tapping kits but Im not sure on the thread. I guess Ill just see what happens, Thanks for the help.

    The thread for a sensor will almost always be 1/8 BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) but NPT (National Pipe Thread) is close enough to make no difference, especially in aluminium. It's a tapered tap. The trick is to thread the tap in about half way, trial fit the sensor, and tap a little deeper each time until the sensor sits at the right height, as the taper is the sealing face. If you run the tap in too deep, the sensor won't seal, too shallow and it'll strip the thread if you get aggressive on the spanners
