yeah i think those engine were the VG30ET

    that might be an option

but its way easier to get a skyline turbo than those ones

even easir to get a t25 but thats a t2 style flange an no use for the owner of the thread

For a budget 4AGTE with bare minimum mods (standard ecu etc) the best starting point would be an RB20 turbo, which will leave all the other T3 flange turbos as future upgrades. I reckon any bigger (or "better" as some will lead you to believe) than that would be a bit on the big side for a 4A in my opinion.
You should be able to pick up a good condition RB20 turbo for around $200, whereas RB25 turbos are a bit more sought after and likely to cost a bit more.

I started to go down the T3 flanged turbo on 4A path, but after comparing T3 & T2 flanges I figured if there's T2 flanged turbos capable of 4-500hp then T3 is way to big. T2 flange also offers much more in the way of suitably sized second hand turbos & aftermarket upgrades.
If you can go for T2.

Can vouch for the VG 30 turbo i used one back in the day. Best thing about these is price and upgade options available. IE bigger comp wheel etc. and the fact that after you upgrade you dont have to change exhaust dump like you would if you changed turbo.
    I had a VG 30 with a T4 V trim comp wheel fitted and made 189rwkw on 19 psi.

Yes, the T25 series turbos are T2 flange, as above. There are adaptors availible, and this is the turbo I'd personally go for. Or the RB20 turbo, I've seen great condition ones go for $150. Remember, it's a small motor, will need a responsive turbo.

If you wanted to spend a little more and get reliability, you can buy a s15 turbo brand new for around $1100, this got 170-180rwkw from 20psi.
    I'll second that...
And as for the 'you cant run more than 14psi coz it'll break', You can do whatever you want! It just depends on reliability issues though, such as how often do you plan to drive your car?
Other issue is it running out of puff.. It'll get to a point, depending on your setup, where it just wont be capable of producing anymore PSI.... Not sure what these figures would be tho?
I had either a VG30 or RB25 ceramic turbo on my setup, and that made about 140rwkw on 14psi...
