Any idea if they do 20V's too? Their website doesn't really offer a huge amount of info.

there is a thread over in club 4AG about this new cam cover.

There has been SOME requests for a 20V unit... I see no reason he wouldn't make it if he can sell 50 or so

fast shipping, crappy packing? will they make it overseas?
will be good to see if they are durable or not.

I assume they are made from polycarbonate?
Durability would depend entirely on if the mounting holes were drilled or moulded in.
PC is a fairly notch sensitive material but moulding the holes in reduces the point defects (caused by breaking bonds when drilling) where the fractures propagate from.
it depends what polycarbonate it is....
the bulletproof screens i have made from PC are not very notch sensitive...
hmmm, any results of damage testing? or pics of broken ones? are they tough or brittle?
anyway, big thumbs up for pulling finger and getting them made.. there was always a market for them![]()

Quite true but it can be improved. Polyesters and Polyurethanes can be far 'tougher' materials but far more painful to handle once you get to that level of toughness. Casting is a dirty game compared to injection moulding.

ahh, my bad, apparently "they" are notch sensitive below the glass transition temp...
then again.. perhaps it depends exactyl what PC it is... i have attacked my screens with sledgehammer and axe with very little effect... and yet they are easily drilled and cut... very "tough" but very "soft" and not scratch resistant...
i would hardly call them brittle.
oldeskewl, any chance of finding out more abotu which PC it is, and how resistance they are to shattering?

PC also has VERY low chemical resistance and is soluble in almost anything. You can only clean it with water or SOME alcohols.
so.. you don7t want any oil or fuel leaks in the engine bay?![]()

oils may be OK, but fuel is a no no...
Pffft . just leave the covers off, you don't need them.
