Re: picnic at hanging rock 8th feb 2009
Enjoyed the event but felt kind of guilty when I got home and learned of just how devastating the fires have been (and it ain’t over yet).
I decided to park away from the classic Celicas (due to the undesirability of the cockroach Celicas), but with some luck I still ended-up in good company with a 1UZ-powered RA60 next to my car, a couple of classic Crowns and a neat Sprinter in front of me. Not too far away there was also a tidy RA40 coupe.
Did the big walk around, including checking-out the classic Celicas. Spotted a few cars inspired by tv/movies like Herbie, Nightrider and Back to the Future. Received a few favourable comments when I returned to my car. One guy congratulated me on “daring to be different”, which I appreciated. Only thing that cheesed me off was being taken to task by a character that was adamant there was never a MK1 Supra. (I presume this had something to do with the 1997 “15th anniversary” Supra.)

I thought I covered the whole lot (hence why I forgot to take more photos of the celica's and didn't get to catch up with most of you guys throughout the day... and missed the classic resto's shenanigans), but maybe they'd gone before I got there.
I hope the cookie monster made it back OK? We saw it filling up at the servo on the way back, and since it made it that far I figured it was safe to keep going

				Timbo,
Based on the pic you took of the red z it looks like the Toyotas that were parked around me had left for the day.
