Default 1JZ GZ20 wiring problem (no power)

Ok, I've have my 1JZ in for ages, pulled it out for some mods and such.
But now it's all back in I found I have no dash/ecu/cabin power. Ignition barrel has NO 12v at all.
    All fuses are fine.
I think I have narrowed it down to a 3-wire cable that used to run overtop of my camgears and followed the alternator cable, but I have no idea where it used to go, I have no plug on it. (it has been ages, i cant rememeber why its like that).
The 3 wires are: Brown, Yellow, and White. I tested the white one i think and put it to the batt positive (probably not a wise move), and blew the 40A fuse in the 'AM1' spot. (on that note, what are the AM1 and AM2 fuses??)

    Please help me hehe

Found my problem, I'm a tool. haha. I cut it off my wiring loom and then when I was dressing up my engine bay I taped up all my looms, it was hiding under one of them.

    BUT

I still have NO POWER to anything in my cabin

not my hazards, immobiliser, ignition barrel, nothing

label and write down everything you disconnect when you pull out a engine next time

i'd say you forgot something again, something that cant really be spotted over the net.

the three wire thing looks like its the one that goes to the regulator on the back of the alternator. It should have a plug on it.

Ok, found it. All goes good, engine started for the first time in like 3 months. BUT
No dash, and my fuses are fine. Spose I'll do the same process again, test everything. sigh

Well it's not the 1JZ part. Im now thinking the speedo is the problem. Finding people that have successfully done the speedo swap. I have wired and installed the GZ20 speedo, so im led to believe this is the problem, also the factor of it not physically fitting in the trans tunnel. i have um... cough... modified a few things to suit. but yes, dash no worky hehe

gz20 speedo sender should fit no worries.

my oh my what has you did?

that 3 wire plug that runs with ya main alternator charge wire sounds like your alt plug, goes in the back of the alternator, a big round bastard.
