Default Different style slave cylinders ?

Long story short, converting a UZA61 to manual and the extractors were built when the car was auto. Extractors foul slave cylinder.

We *could* return bellhousing and get it swapped for one that has the slave cylinder on the other side (there seems to be more room).

But is there another style of slave cylinder out there (except Tilton hydraulic) that can be used?

    See pics.

NB: Bolt doesn't line up because slave hits exhaust and slave not on correct angle.

Not much you can do size wise if it has to push 90degree to the clutch fork, except go to a 'puller' from ????..
Can it be mounted forward, with a loong push rod?

That is some nasty shit there.

You may want some extra room in there for heat shielding to go inbetween or your clutch pedal is going to get squishy.

How bout a hydro throwout bearing?

Hydro throwout bearing is a possibility, but would prefer not to due to cost.

Return bellhousing for RH clutch actuation, otherwise modify exhaust pipes - any slave cylinder that close to an exhaust will cook itself within 6 months of spirited driving.

I don't know if CRS do bellhousings with RH clutch action, or only Dellow.

New, about $250 plus the bracket you need to bolt it to the gearbox.

vpw sell pull type slaves for converting cable cars. worth a look ? have you had a look in the bellhousing ? could you drill and tap for the pivot ball on the other side ? making a hole won't be hard. you could then weld up the original. could you use a falcon hydraulic throwout ? maybe cheaper.
so much stuff. so little time.

Having the fork come out the other side is not hard bit, the hard bit is making somewhere for the slave to correctly mount to so that it lines up with the fork.
Same goes for using a slave designed to pull, I'll need somewhere mount it to.
Likewise for any hydro setup, the cost of the bracketry is the killer.

I think moving the slave forward and using a longer rod is the best answer. Its something I can get made up easily and cheaply, and doesn't require modding anything else.

Please do tell me where you can get one of the Tilton 1600 units for $250, any prices I've found seem to be significantly more than that!
