Dust is the part the PMO.
Do they leave heaps of dust? Cause my ds2500 dont really leave any dust.
I've been running EBC Greenstuff for about 4 years on my Supra. Never had any problems with them on the street or circuit and their cold performance has been fine. I have R33 calipers and BA Falcon rotors on an MA61 so admittedly the brakes are pretty big to begin with, but I also had EBC Greenstuff when I had stock brakes and they performed flawlessly on the street, but were a little inadequate on the circuit as you might expect.
Brake pads are a lot like tyres, very few people have tested multiple brands back-to-back in identical conditions, so it's very difficult to gauge whether brand X is "better" than brand Y or vice-versa. Conflicting anecdotal evidence as presented in this thread doesn't help matters much.

i had greenstuffs also on my soarer and they where pretty good alot better than the lucas crap i had to replace them with. But i havent tried out any other high end brand pads so they could be average for all i know.

whenever i order EBC they take like 6 weeks to get shipped from england.
another reason i changed brands, i dont wanna have to fuck around with a 6 week wait to change pads I WANT IT NOW!

Another happy Greenstuff customer here.
I followed the bedding in procedure to the letter (500km's of no heavy braking from memory) and since that they've been perfect.
Dust is minimal if you have open spoke rims, noise is non-existant, fade thus far has been non-existant but I've not been able to push them really hard.
Would definitely consider buying them again (or Redstuff) but would also look into higher brands.

I bought several sets a while ago, but they never set my trousers alight... Definately quite dirty (what the box claims is utter crap), and seemingly variable in quality.
so Greenstuffs were more than a match for the cheapest pad Bendix make? you would certainly hope so.Originally Posted by JustCallMeOrlando

Bendix are average,
EBC Green/Redstuff i would consider to be on par with Bendix Ultimates and the normal Ferodo range (Zero thru to FF) i consider to be woeful at best.
Anybody that say's the EBC or Bendix range are good performers obviously havn't driven a car with a decent brake setup or don't drive their cars hard enough......
Good brakes give you a shitload more confidence whilst driving hard and should be one of the first things you modify on your car (Tires would be no1) followed by suspension and then power, but rarely do i see it done in this order.

So far they are performing very well... i havent been able to make them go soft yet with hard driving through the hills.
I wouldnt expect them to last with track work though.

i had greenstuffs in my starlet, did a number of track days on them, i thought at the time they were good. i decided to change to Ferodo DS2500's when the greenstuffs were wearing out. When i took them out the face of the pad was starting to disintegrate. I guess turning the rotors blue from heat at the track killed the greenstuffs?
Greenstuff's definately have an issue stopping when not upto temp.
the Ferodos stop better when cold, stop better when hot, wear less quickly, and actually cost me pretty much the same as the greenstuffs did, and havent fallen apart yet.
I'd recommend the DS2500's over the Greenstuffs anyday.

How do you find the disc wear when using the Ferodo's vs the EBC's? it should be alot better as the Ferodo Racing pads use an adhesive compound rather than an abrasive compound used in cheap "high performance" pads. So they are actually depositing material on the disc to slow the car down rather than wearing the rotor surface.Originally Posted by jezza323

lesson learnt!
i had greenstuff before with the standard corona brakes....they were ok, tho they never did see any hard track use.
I wasn't exactly nice to the car, neither was Peewee. Experiences with the EBC stuff seem to be hit and miss but we've both had favourable ones. Perhaps the combinations we had seemed to suit.Originally Posted by The Real Roadrunner
They do, made my car feel awesome. I went suspension first, then wheels/tyres/brakes ina big bang, that okay?Originally Posted by The Real Roadrunner

Yep that works to.Originally Posted by JustCallMeOrlando
Mine was tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension in one big hit. but only the front as i ran out of time and the $6K cost kinda hurt the budget abit.
