did you bed them in enough/properly?
i have hilux/pug/corona brakes, using green stuff pads. i scared myself the first time i went to use them - standing on them and got a lot less reaction than i expected. so i went home and stripped and then rebuilt the calipers. still the same issue.
what have been other people's experiences with these pads.

i thought they were really good for street only use, ie dont get the pads hot.
after greens i went redstuffs and they were heaps shit aye.
now im using the ferodo ds2500 and they are awesome, good cold stopping and work very well while hot.

With any vehicle there are 2 important factors, 1 good tyres and 2 good pads. in any case if either of these aren't good your not going to be happy with the car.
Throw the EBC Shitstuffs in the bin where they belong and get a set of decent pads wether it be ferodo's, hawk's, endless or similar. the price may be double what your use to paying but you will get that back with their longer service life and better disc abrasion properties.
Not to mention they might aviod you having to claim on your insurance (saving money again) as you'll have good stopping power every time you need it.
And as OC mentioned, discs and pads MUST be run in correctly or you won't get the best out of any pad.

Great stopping power when warmed up, ordinary when cold. Very low dust. Bit of extra noise over OEM.
Everything I have ever heard says they are not a good pad. Most performance oriented pads will be very average on the first application on a cold morning, so its something you need to think about each time you go for a drive.
The Ferodo is always rated very well. I have had lots of good experience with Race Brakes in Melbourne and his own compounds. RB74 were an excellent pad in my WRX which was street driven and occasional track days and I just tried his Comp2 pad in my KE35 race car and it was excellent also.

The local brake specialist where I am use to sell EBC pads, I bought a couple of sets for 2 of my cars, and always thought they were OK in spirited use. But when I went to buy a set for my Alfa 75 (with Volvo 4 piston calipers), brake guy said they weren't selling EBC stuff anymore because they weren't happy with their braking performance and disc wear characteristic. I also bought RB74 Race Brakes pads and I'm very impressed with them, though I've only had them in for a fairly short period of time. I must be one of the freaks that had no real problems with them. Mine saw motorkhanas, spirited country drives, blats down Macquarie Pass and never gave me any grief. This was on R32 Skyline brakes on my old Celica XX. They functioned fine when cold although did get better as they warmed up.
I was happy with them, so I got Redstuff for the front of my car and Greenstuff for the rears when I upgraded my brakes. If anything the new formula (was changed a couple of times since I got my original ones) is even better cold. I've not given them a proper punishing yet so I've not seen how these cope with repeated stops but they're able to nearly throw my head through the window so they seem to be working fine.

I've got them in the AE102 and have had no problems whatsoever with them. They've only seen street usage under my watch, but the guy who had them before me ran at least one trackday at Wakefield on them and also had no problems whatsover. Yes, the first stop on a cold morning is a little below average, but still better than the stock pads at any stage. And if the first time you touch the brakes of a morning is to slam them on then you either don't warm your car up properly, or live on a freeway. Just take it easy for the first few minutes and they'll be warm enough for good hard stops in no time

Only real issues are 1) the noise - yes they are a bit noisy (faint grinding/scraping noise), but if you're gunning it then you can't hear them over the engine anyway, unless you're almost at a halt, and 2) the dust. I have gunmetal wheels with a polished lip, and the lip turns the same colour as the spokes in about 2 weeks of normal street driving, although thats only on the fronts. Even after a month of not cleaning wheels, the lip on the rear wheels will still be basically clean.

EBC pads are made in india. Just like the $9.95 ebay pads that come in box with Kevlar written on it and a picture of an elephant.
Try Aussie made bendix pads. I'm happy with mine.
I have some of the older greenstuff pads on my car, not sure if the newer models are better/worse. Using R32 4pot calipers.
They are ok, not much feel to be honest. They seem to like a bit of heat before they work and they do make a small amount of noise - at least it's not the squeak noise you get from more race style pads (though that is a cool noise to have!). Next pads will be hawk I think.
