    hey volvo
you could always just increase the airflow to the throttle body with a POD filter, some extractors, a nice 2.5: exhaust with maybe a 3 to 3.5" cannon. It would increase the power by about 40 to 50KWs. I have done it to my mates gemini and yeh it worked really nicely. Hes running 15s done the quarter. Which is a good time for a N/A car.

    Neways thats just my suggestion.

Mate the Sigmas are bloody awesome.

I bought one with 200000ks on it about 4.5 yrs ago for $100. New tyres on it and payed reg and that was it. I just serviced it and paid rego and thrashed the shit out of it, rallied it, top speed runs, burnouts, commuting, parts carting, music festivals, the girlfriend even used it for about 2 yrs. Only just got rid of it as I bought a sprinter for the gf, there was still nothing wrong with it.

    They are awesome I reckon!

But yer, best bet is to source yourself a complete GSR turbo engine and do the whole transplant, otherwise you may be able to pick up everything required for the turbo conversion off someone who has upgraded their factory Turbo setup.

Dont give up mate, your doing something that not every drift kid is doing, stick it out.

Gee, I wonder why Mitsubishi never thought of this instead of spending all that money on a turbo setup for their "new" sigma to gain the stated 50kw increase. Puh-leese, those mods are never going to increase power by 50kw in a car that would be lucky to be putting out much more than that in the first place

Mechanic had a sigma with a 383cui ford v8 in it, big carby etc. etc. 9” diff, upgraded brakes. Otherwise looked stock. Went pretty well and was a very nice sleeper. I don’t recommend you do this unless you have lots of $$$

if i had "lots" of money, a sigma would be the last thing id do up just the get about car till
i get the money for an ae86 ,
talking about sleepers how good would a volvo sleeper go

also talkin on the matter of conversions, im not really a fan of swapping out side the family,
perfect eg the sigma with the ford in it?
cant really call it a sigma any more

Can't really call it a Toyota either. Your username is Volvo and you're asking a question about Mitsubishis, so WTF are you doing on Toymods?

Yeah I had a 2.6 Stigma. Used to fill up the oil and check the petrol. But stock it would run 17's. Was also lots of fun on the skidpan. Here is a tip. The Stigma is 1 car that really benefits from having the rooted shockies (and struts) replaced. Unbelievable difference.

Some of my mates had mitsu smegas when I was young, whilst I always prefered the geminis. They can still be made to go hard, although the astron is a well documented ring-eater. If you were to turbo one you'd definitely want to take care of those first, or buy the GSR setup out of a dead car as someone else suggested

Honestly my friend, don't bother. A basement, backyard bodge setup would cost at least 1k, that's 1/3 of the way to a sprinter, or heck, buy yourself an 80's RWD celica...

there is a Sikma that get's down to WSID just about every Wed running supercharged Holden V6 running 12.20's. Now that is a get the F*ck out of town Sigma. I say - get rid of it before you get too many Bitsumisin germs, get a Toyota and join the family without reservation.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.
