Firstly - There are readily available resistor packs in Volvos @ wreckers. I bought 4 of them, for 2/5ths of fuck all. And they work a treat for the low impedence 440cc injectors.

Secondly - you are right. when you parallel the output like you said (with 3 resistors instead of 6) the resistor needs to be double the size.

Again, the volvo injector packs are the way to go. They are exactly what you need.

You won't need to double the size.

    With 1 x 13.8ohm injector the ECU sees 13.8ohms
    With 1 x 2.7ohm injector the ECU sees 2.7ohms
With 1 x 2.7ohm injector, and an 11.1ohm resistor the ECU sees 13.8ohms.

With 2 x 13.8ohm injectors in parallel the ECU sees 6.9ohms
With 2 x 2.7ohm injectors in parallel the ECU sees 1.35ohms
With 2 x 2.7ohm injectors in parallel, and a 5.5ohm resistor, the ECU will see 6.85ohms.

Hence the requirement for 5.5ohm resistors.
    With 2 x 2.7ohm injectors

Honestly, i would prefer to use a PEAK AND HOLD driver. Check out:
Peak&Hold Injector Driver Board v2.0 for Megasquirt
Unfortunately you need 2 as they can only drive 4 cyl each, but still, pretty cheap considering the price of alternatives

Edit: I'd prbly go with 25W ones tho, $3.59ea+... but then again I'd prbly use a resistor pack off something else as has already been suggestd!

    e.g.

Buy High Power Resistor, metal cased,power,25W,5%,6R8 Arcol HS25 6R8 J online from RS for next day delivery.

I wouldnt buy any resistor with such low resistance with anything worse than 1% tolerance. When you are talking about injectors, you need them to all be working as similarly as possible, 5% is too much IMO. 25W is good, but you want 1% tolerance.
