Can i suggest we get a car club to receipt deposits for the dyno - if you dont turn-up, you forfeit the deposit? and deposit holders go first?

btw: I will mention this event at tonights' TCC(Qld) meeting.

Sounds like too much organisation for me. Why not, if you don’t turn up you don’t get a go therefore the people that do turn up go first

Yeah, get some TCC guys to come along as well

Ok, I just rang Willowbank and they said it is fine to hire the track for 2 hours prior to a Test and Tune or Street series day. The cost is $1350 for 30 cars and $45 per car after that. ($45 per car anyway). This entitles the driver to race for the 2 hours prior to opening as well as the actual test and tune when other people are allowed in.

If this is on May 27th (still confirming) it will start at 2pm. The regular price is $36 for the test and tune which is from 4:30 until about 9pm. So for an extra $9 you get to race for 2 hours prior with only 30 other cars or so which if you have been to a test and tune is not very many at all!

I forgot to ask them but I imagine the cost includes admin of one crew person also as it does for a regular test and tune.

You will need long pants, long sleeve shirt, helmet, shoes and a roadworthy vehicle ie. No leaks etc.

So as this starts at 2pm who is interested in doing the dyno thing in the morning and who isn’t? Personally, I would rather skip the dyno and just get out there and race. Takes 2 hours for me to get down there as well.

    So in summary:
    Date: May 27th
    Time: 2pm
    Where: Willowbank Raceway
Cost: $45 (admits driver and one crew member)

    Thanks guys

    Chris

So keen.............. Cash permitting I would still be interested in a dyno run but its not like I can't just drive somewhere and get it done anyway.

Sounds good chris and them gem should be finished long before then. So count me in.
Just a thought but wouldn't it be a lot better to have the dyno part of the day closer to willowbank? There are so many places on the southside or out ipswich way.

Awesome. Will be good to see the Gem in action

I am from the Sunshine Coast so don't really know that many places down there. If someone knows of a place that will do a dyno day for about $50 and is available on the 27th May, let me know

I plan to attend Willowbank provided im in town but not the dyno.I have dynoed 302rwhp on stock turbos 1j and will try and get tuned with 17psi or whatever the stock injectors will take.I expect the clutch will be toast if traction is good. Will drag debut for car and driver, gotta start somewhere.
I am currently applying for jobs away so apologies if I dont make it.Sincerely hope to see you guys there.Cheers for the organising Chris and Co.

edit-dyno possibilities-millenium motorsports[carlos] and hardcore racing components[bruce and peter] both have runs on the board with toyotas.worth a call?

Ok, general consencus is that it will be too much action for one day and most people would rather race than to go on the dyno. (which is how it should be! ) So dyno is ditched. I will ring WIllobank tomorrow and see if we can confirm a date. I will have to work something out about payment as if people pike, I am not forking out $1350!

    More info to come tomorrow

50 would be a nice number considering the fees invloved,1350 into 50 is 27 bucks.punters could forward $30?????????????

Am considering inviting my neighbours and their tilt tray for mates rates tows should something break.............

Chris perhaps you could ask if the towing is contracted out or can we invite a truck if you like.could be cheap insurance.......
