Dual mass flywheels are in two separate parts bonded together with rubber. This is done for NVH reasons.
All JZ flywheels are interchangable, however you can't put a 1JZ clutch on a 2JZ flywheel or vice-versa.
G'day guys, total newbie question here i'm sure, but what is the difference between dual mass flywheels, and normal ones? two centers of mass? and also are 1jz and 2jz flywheels interchangable? A bloke on ebay was selling aluminium dual mass flywheels for 2jzs and told me that it wouldn't suit my 1jzgte, how is that?
Cheers,
Wes
