Default Toyota Supra 4.0 Turbo conversion

So I have basically finished the conversion, still have a rear subframe that needs new bushes and are changing the clutch setup (hence the low boost tune...)

A very rough break down of the conversion parts from NA auto to manual Turbo below and yes some are just the show bits or maintenance, but a complete list of whats gone into it so far:

    Twin turbosmart 38mm wastegates
    HKS TA45S Turbo
    Tial BOV
Work Emotion XD9 18" wheels and Work nuts
Custom catch can and breather K&N filter
    Active spoiler installation
4 pot front calipers and TRD pads with SS brake lines
    Bride seat rails
Recaro SR3 seats (from Honda Type R)
Late model indicators and brake lights
    Custom front grill
    TRD speedo
    Momo steering wheel
    Momo boss kit
    R154 gearbox
    Clutch (QM Twin plate)
    Custom Flywheel
    Pedal box
    Slave / master cylinder $200 $30*
    Shift knob (TRD)
    Shift boot
    R154 to 1UZ / Bell housing
    QM Hydro Release bearing
    Rev counter
    1UZFE engine
    Engine mounts
    Link Plus G3 computer
Misc hoses / lines / clamps etc
    Engine Start S2000 switch
    Maintenance parts etc
    Batteries (Vertex dry cell)
    Electric fans (2 x 10")
Loom & temp sensor & ignitor
    Release bearing spacer
    Gearbox mounts
    Modified drive shaft
    Move shifter lever position
    Heater hoses and PS lines
    Exhaust
Battery and Alternator cabling and brackets
Fuel, clutch, and turbo feed and drain lines
    Fluids
    Intake pipe & K&N filter
    Dyno Tuning (331 at 5psi)
    Injectors (EVO 510cc)
    Intake and throttle body modification
    RB idle valve
    Carbon hood shocks
    TRD oil cap

In the garage to go and on finish

    ARP head studs
    Performance valve springs
    Cometic head gasket
Big valve and ported head (in development)

Sorry for the crappy pics, but here is a turbo 1UZ Supra It made 331WHP at 5psi.

Thanks mate, will run 10psi on 98 BP pump gas. hoping for 410-420WHP on 10psi.

When the heads go on, looking for 18psi on pump gas still and around 550WHP. Will see... thats a few months away yet.

Will get more pics soon, car is in getting a warrant of fitness.

Not been on the track as I am changing clutches.

On that, do you like the Tilton I sold you? I am going to move to a single disk Exedy or similar, do you think the hydraulic release mechanism will or with a 9.5" cover? if the right bearing was made to fit on the sleeve that goes into the release mechanism?

The Tilton is great for track, pretty shit for street.....not so much the harsh takeup, more that every street launch is doing serious wear and the thin clutch plates don't have much life in them. If a box drop is pretty easy then maybe OK?

My next clutch will be a quad plate organic 7.25 from the UK rated for 900hp and stock feel.

    Thanks Bill...

Justen, yeah ok I dont have the love for multiplate setups, though people rave about these $4,000 carbon setups. What would you recommend for a single disk 9.5" capable of 5-600ftlbs? Thought on using the floating hydraulic release on a 9.5"?

Dunno mate....can't say i believe a single plate could handle that torque? not for long anyways?

Having seen a carbon triple plate on a 400+rwkw Supra i know why they are raved about.....very impressive. That's alot to pay for a clutch though.

Yeah maybe I keep this going for a while and grab a carbon clutch down the track.
