Not been on the track as I am changing clutches.
On that, do you like the Tilton I sold you? I am going to move to a single disk Exedy or similar, do you think the hydraulic release mechanism will or with a 9.5" cover? if the right bearing was made to fit on the sleeve that goes into the release mechanism?
Looks very good, almost factory.

The Tilton is great for track, pretty shit for street.....not so much the harsh takeup, more that every street launch is doing serious wear and the thin clutch plates don't have much life in them. If a box drop is pretty easy then maybe OK?Originally Posted by 4000GT
My next clutch will be a quad plate organic 7.25 from the UK rated for 900hp and stock feel.

Thanks Bill...
Justen, yeah ok I dont have the love for multiplate setups, though people rave about these $4,000 carbon setups. What would you recommend for a single disk 9.5" capable of 5-600ftlbs? Thought on using the floating hydraulic release on a 9.5"?
Dunno mate....can't say i believe a single plate could handle that torque? not for long anyways?
Having seen a carbon triple plate on a 400+rwkw Supra i know why they are raved about.....very impressive. That's alot to pay for a clutch though.

Yeah maybe I keep this going for a while and grab a carbon clutch down the track.
