    Default Wiring help/identify these plugs...

    So prob shouldn't have just gone and ripped the engine out with out thinking much about how it is going to go back in... but anyway, I'm re wiring the engine bay on my 55 to hide all the wires and just need some help to identify these plugs....

    1 - Passenger side - Green plug - black/yellow wire and black wire (earth) and Black plug with two black wires (earths) coming out of it (bottom two plugs)




    2 - Passenger side - green plug - black/yellow wire




    3 - Drivers side - green plug - 2 x red/blue wire and a black wire (earth)




    4 - Drivers side - white plug - green/yellow wire

    What makes you say black is earth? Toyotas almost never have black as earth.
    I'm guessing here, but the green connector could be dissy/carby. B-Y usually is some sort of power. B could be points, and the two blacks could be the coil itself.

    The plug could be the reversing switch.

    Thanks mate... i guessed the black was earth, i can't check the wires with the multi meter due to the loom being pretty much in pieces....
    1 - I think these have to do with the carb emissions stuff.
    2 - Nah not the coil that is all sorted
    3- Nah reverse switch is sorted
    4 - i may have lied that may be green white... have to check when i get home tonight...

    anyone else?

    5k with twin side draft webbers, so any of the plugs to do with the old carby and emission stuff can be binned....
