Sway bars from the ae92/3

Hey

Just a quick question to what models can be fitted with the the engine sway bar that came fitted in the ae93 sx model.

And though all models i am wondering about but about. The ae112r model? can this be fitted with the sway bar?? it has the 2 holes in the firewall, but when looking i think the ae112r engine bay is too wide for the sway bar to fit.

Any of the AE9x models can be fitted with an AE93 swaybar. I think the AE94 RV also comes with a front swaybar. The AE90 and all the other NON SX models have no front swaybar. But you would also need the front Lower Control Arms as they have the mounts for the swaybar. It is easy to get a full front crossmember with the A arms and swaybar attached. That's what I did on my AE90. Then you can change all the dodgy bushes to new ones while it is on the floor.

The AE101 front swaybar of the front cut I bought, did not fit the AE90. I am not sure if it is compatible with the AE112r etc. Hiro Protagonist would probably know. I would assume all the AE1xx ones will be interchangeable. Can't tell you about rear sway bar upgrades.

NOTE: I think you may be talking about the strut bar as you mention the firewall holes. The AE9x SX front strut bar will fit all AE9X models. Too easy.
The AE101 front strut bar did not fit the AE90 of mine. But I ground out the welds, rotated the ends slightly and fitted it in place on my ae90 and then welded it back up, and it fit just fine.

Again, I am not sure if an AE101 front strut bar will fit the AE112 etc, but I ASSUME they would.

I've assumed you're talking about the strut brace, but are you wanting to know what braces fit an AE92, or what cars can an AE92 brace fit in? Once again, I'll assume the later

If Trev says that he had to modifiy an AE101 brace to fit his AE90, then I'd be inclinded to think that they do not directly bolt in. However, the 3-point strut brace found in AE101 and AE111 Levins/Truenos is perfectly capable of bolting straight into ADM AE101 and 102 sedans/Secas, as well as ADM AE112 sedans/Secas. They are identical (the whole engine bay of an AE11x is basically the same as an AE10x).

yer sorry i meant strut bars, not sway bars but the info that was typed above as very valued inforamtion. thank you.

so though to answer the question a strut brace that covers an 4a-ge in an ae92/3 corolla will not fit into a ae112r corolla with a 7a-fe motor??

It will fit with some minor modifications. Grind off welds, rotate, extend, fit to your car and then weld in place.

If you want a strut brace for an AE112 just look for someone parting out an AE101 or AE111 front cut, they're fairly common, if you're lucky you can get a brace for about $50-100

ok.. i showed my dad some photos of your car on google, hes amazed on how good its looks, he own a csx with aftermarket suspension and sway bars all round. but hes really likes what you have done.

He and i are interested in the front end you have on your car what model the headlights belong too. i was thinking of getting the parts for him. but just asking what headlights and the bar under the light are off and the fabrication involed.

Also i measured my sx strut brace and it will fit the ae112r with a thick washer between the strut brace and the fire wall but you need to stretch it back a little.

to rolla boy my dad would be interested in your though.

Has your Dad got the bug eye front end on it like mine did???

My whole front end is from the 2001 Model AE112, it all bolts up with next to no worries... Still got some issues with the radiator support but hoping to fix all them up next time it's in the panel shop for new work...

I had to change the bonnet, bonnet hinges, guards, headlights, blinkers, headlight panel, grille, fog lights, front bar and front bar brackets... Pretty expensive as I used Genuine Toyota Parts but well worth it with the end result...

I'll let you know what I decide with my strut brace anyway, won't be too long

yer hes got the old bug eye look and i hate the look of it and i keep tellinghim that, i like the rectangle lights that the ae92 have and the ae86 levins. ill let him know sweet thanks
