    Default 1jz tuning/stock injectors/FPR/Greddyemanage

My 1jz was tuned to 21psi using the stock 380cc injectors and a crazy 60psi BASE fuel pressure. through the piggyback Greddy emanage bluebefore i got the car

i havent touched the car tune wise since getting it, but im pretty happy with a max of 15psi or so.

my question is, can i bump the fuel pressure down while retaining the current tune? and be safe?. Obviously the need for AF/R readings is needed but in theory it would be okay.

Your ECU has no way of knowing that youve lowered fuel pressure. So its going to keep driving the injectors exactly the same as it was before. If you significantly lower fuel pressure without a retune, you will lean the motor out. Fuel pressure effects the entire fuel map.

Reducing the fuel pressure and keeping the same tune will make it run lean.

Too lean or not needs to be measured!

if you don't tune it again and you lean it by lowering the fuel, it may cause detonation, or overheating.
