swmotorsport.com sell them and i havent heard anything bad about them. i also beleive some holden ones fit...
I'm up to the stage of motor assembly where i need timing chains. So i went to get Iwis timing chains because they are the best i could get for my engine (18rg) in my opinion but they don't make them any more.![]()
So what are some other good brand timing chains i can get for the old 18rg, Or is custom an option.
Cheers
Alex

Never had a drama with timing chains that weren't 30 years old.
I bought the upper chain for the 18R-GTE from SW Motorsports, and at $38 a throw, you can't go too far wrong. Fortunately double row timing chains remove virtually every weak point a chain might have (apart from noise), so much so, and they are so unloaded, that cheap chains will still happily work.
In saying that, if you spec up the chain, then there is no reason you can't get a longer one and shorten it. Just do your best to reduce how much you heat up the link that you are removing.
