Well, i tested the TPS and it is completely within spec. The resistnace values are all spot on, and so are the continutity adjustments of the IDL switch in the TPS. So, i'd say that this problem isnt with the TPS malfunctoning...because its doing exactly what its supposed to.
What im after is a way to remove the fuel being dumped in at 0 throttle. With the engine now being bolted to a manual tranny, this fuelling causes the the motor to jolt. You can feel it quite easily....just by releasing the throttle slowly...at about 1% TPS, bang...the engine note gets louder and the motor jerks. I assumed this to be the IDL switch in the TPS.
American manual models came with a thing called a Dashpot. Maybe this has something to do with it? It seems to be bolted to the throttle..and is vacuum controlled.
