high flowed ct26 would be shit hot
stock 1g turbs are pretty lame, thats why the majority of us still dumb enough to own one put a big single on it
just wondering if it's a bad idea to run a pair of CT12's off a 1ggte on my 3tgte? or if it would be better to run it staged with 1 ct12 then a ct26?
also how much boost can a single CT12 make?
thanks,
joe
If it moves and it shouldn't use duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it should use WD40.

fair enough but roughly what sort of revs would i be looking at for the CT26 to spool on a mostly stock engine?
cheers

What is wrong with something like a T25/T25G/T28, i.e. SR20DET turbo?
They are cheap as, and fit what you are after in my opinion...
Many aftermarket bolt up upgrade options afterwards too...!

never said there was anything wrong with them just hadnt thought that much about them, but thats another option for me to look into now, basicly what i want is to have about 14 or 15 psi without it taking 6 months to spool

even the humble old turbo (T3?) from an RB20 would be more than adequate - on my 2 litre 18R it gets on boost by mid-late 2000 rpms and has quite sensible and predictable boost behaviours .
I have a excellent condition CT26 and manifold FS if you keen,$600,will bolt straight on with oinly modification to oil lines needed.

nah i was just trying to find out so i had an idea for when i could do it, coz right now i got the 3tgte with everything except a turbo, ECU, knock comp and loom but i cant drive it with a turbo coz the P plater restrictions in VIC so im just doing some reaserch for when i can. right now im looking into selling some of my spare parts for the 3tgte to pay for some high comp pistons and ECU so i can put the bugger in and drive it

the problem with those T25/t28 etc etc turbos and the adapter plates is that they dont fit in most of us early celicas engine bays. they foul on the engine mounts.
and then there is also the issue of oil lines.
although for that matter, with a stock ECU, how would a 3tgte behave with a T25 or watever turbo adapted to fit.
(no intentions of hijacking thread, but thought it would be applicable)
