I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
I'm in Brisbane with a 4AGZE AE101, but I don't think that's in NSW (last time I checked)....
Def. interested in the pulley though. Do you know how much boost it will produce?
on a 4agze stock engine it will produce 15 to 16psi.
you just have to do a airbypass mod and your all go.
this is good for stock setups as cars with larger crank pulleys will run too much boost.
cheers joe
Sounds awesome. What sort of cost for the completed item?
I can test for you if you can get it to Brisbane. I have already completed the bypass mod.
they will retail for $200 to $300 with instructions.
i will get your details when i get home and come up and do the mod. in a few weeks.
You have PM.
Giday Joe, what do you mean cars with larger crank pulleys will run too much boost? It wont run too much boost if the crank pulley isnt too bigOriginally Posted by racer

What do you define as too much boost? 15-16psi is certainly getting up there for the sc12.
As this is in tech and conversions it might be an idea to include some tech info on the product. Or maybe get the thread moved to general car talk. Pro's and Con's of using a larger crank pulley v's a smaller sc pulley as way of increasing sc speed have been discussed in various sections.
cheers
if you increase the size of the crank pulley you increase the speed of the supercharger rpm. aswell if you decrease the size of the supercharger pulley you increase the supercharger rpm.
if you do both it increases drematicaly. and it makes too much boost.
the 95mm clutch pulley has the same benifits of the orginal pulley.
running a larger crank pulley increases wear on other components attached to the belt system. so they wearout much quicker than normal.
joe
on a 4agze engine with 120mm crank pulley the figures will be similar.
with 95mm pulley
supercharger rpm 8800 at 7000rpm engine speed.
225hp/168kw at 7000rpm
at 15psi boost
standard specs
supercharger rpm 7300 at 7000rpm engine speed
185hp/138kw at 7000rpm
at 10psi boost
or
supercharger rpm 6700 at 7000rpm engine speed
171hp/127kw at 7000rpm
at 8psi boost
Would the SC12 pulley you are making fit a SC14 Super Charger?
no but i have already made one for the sc14 blower but it is 103mm. which is the smallest it can be but still holding the clutch mecanism.
is on ebay under
103mm supercharger pulley
