Don't ask us prices... PM RiceburnaGTV, only he knows what's in stock and what prices he is going to charge for what.

60/40 isn't terrible, but it's not as good as 55/45 or 50/50 is it?? Yes, the torque of the 1J would be inspiring to say the least. But it depends how much value you place on accelleration/burnout vs how much value you place on cornering as to what you get. I like to fly around corners, hence why I am building a 3S powered RA23 instead of a 351 powered RA23 as suggested to me by some bogans (not on here)

Thing about cornering in any car, is you can only drive so hard on the street... That said, the 1J has more power then i can use on the street, hence why i run stock boost and a conservative tune...

My car, at the moment, out handles me. I.e. I wouldnt feel confident going around a corner any harder then i have in my car, and even then my car had more in it... So in the end, it comes down to how often you can afford to race, and can you justify spending money building a car that will suit that... I.e. I'll see a track maybe twice a year, 4 if i enjoy it... But i'll go the drags once a month if i can! lol

Track in Townsville is a go kart one... it's really tight, and there is a carbied pushrod 1600 datto 1200 ute which fangs around quicker than the EVO X etc which race there. That's where I will be racing...

Beams and 3S-GTE are 2 different things...

A Beams engine is a Gen 4 3S-GE (ie. non-turbo) and comes either FWD (Red top) or RWD (Black top)...

Joel has a Gen 2 3S-GTE which only come in east-west (FWD-AWD) config, and takes a shitload of custom work to make RWD... No 3S-GTEs came RWD...

Looks like a good price for the gear on offer, but you will need to do something about that throttle body.

Toyota actually put Beams into another engine... 1G-FE.. in a GX100
good for... 114kw at the fly
wouldn't be surprised if the IS200 is the same engine

but go the 1G engine, it will be best bang for buck, which is why so many people are doing it.
