no problems with dba 5000 rotors here - their design is substandially diff to the pics above so perhaps will work with any hub
Yeah, I understand that 350Z track edition (or R32 GTR V-Spec) rotors are the "solution".
I'm just more wondering why nightpager do a kit for a rotor that doesn't fit. It seems a bit stupid, and yet the group buy had over 10 of these kits replicated/purchased, but as far as I can see only Guilty (and now one other person) had any problem fitting them...

Apparently I was advertising in my signature, where I just thought I was helping out others... so if you want to know how to get more steering lock in your A70/Z20 Supra/Soarer, you'll just have to search, don't ask me, apparently I'm not allowed to tell you.

Whats the price difference on the 5000 vs 4000 series?

Oh well, my nightpager kit is probably going to be sold now anyway as it looks like I'll be running TRD 4 pot monoblock calipers with customer adapter and 324mm R32 GTR V-Spec rotors, hopefully in DBA4000 variety...
Big_Rob: From prices I obtained yesterday, $300+gst (NZD) for the DBA4000 and $570+gst (NZD) for the DBA5000, same price for 350Z track edition, R32 V-Spec and JZA80...

I'm confused.
Loonie: Thats per disk correct?
Disturbed: $1300 for front pair or for a set, I am guessing just the front.
yeah, fronts only.
and yeah, they're brand spankin.
yeah just the front - cant get 5000 series rears cause we got internal drum brakes

Ahh fair point about the rears.
Fuck thats alot of money, ever priced a replacement 5000 rotor i.e. no hat?
So EldarO, which little old lady are you sleeping with to get %70 off?
Yup, price each.
I asked the guy what replacement rotors for the DBA5000 series were, but I can't for the life of me remember now... I think it was about $270+GST or something...

My mechanic thought it was weird the kit didn't fit too (or that I was just clueless or it was a bad copy of the nightpager kit), I remember checking the forums months ago to find out if anyone else had the same issue, but couldn't find anyone who reported it. Also couldn't find any reporting of the overhang of pad over rotor.
How much is a MA70 grex kit, around 5-6k?
used to be 2800![]()
