Default Dyno and Weigh day (Power/Weight ratio comp)

    Hey all,

I have a proposal and i'm gathering interest for folks in Victoria for not only just a Dyno day, but because I also am able to access some digital car weighing scales, we can have a power to weight contest. Prizes will be awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd. Best of all you can finally confirm if your tare weight on the rego sticker is accurate or not... my supra sticker says 1250kgs, but it was really 1450kgs So yeah, I think it's a cool idea and most of the people i've spoken to have considered it to also be good.

I have a dyno and operator lined up in mind, located in Dandenong, Two wheel dyno, so sorry GT4 and other 4wd owners, unfortunately we can't get you're power figure, but certainly can get your weight.

    Update
Date so far is locked in at 26th October. $60 for dyno and weighing. For just the scales, $10 will cover it.

    DATE: October 26th 2008
TIME: 9am-5:30pm (roughly) might start a little early so come earlier if you want, and could run later to get in the last few cars.
LOCATION: Factory 2 / 23 Egan Road, Dandenong (Near Cheltenham Road)

    Cheers all,
    James aka Snake tits.

Added. Shall I list what cars people are putting on for the contest or shall we all leave it a secret until the day do you think?

Reckon they can hook a bike up to that? Car's not running at the moment. The bike will at least keep some of you honest

Cool cool, well i'm going to try to keep the cost down as best I can whilst at the same time make sure everyone gets good value. I'm going up at 12:30 to meet with the boss of RaceTec in Dandenong who is the dyno owner/operator to work out when/how/etc. I'm hoping we can have the cost at around $60 a pop (sound alright?) and if funds allow, might chuck in a free bbq for lunch. I'm also having to cover the cost of the corner weighing equipment so it's a bit of organising but nothing hard. Will need to find someone willing to help me with jacking up cars for the scales on the day, but will discuss that later.

    Stay tuned!!

Id try and arrange some sort of ramps to save that hassle. Or dont they like them to be driven on (even at walking pace)? Would make it a lot quicker too.

Wish we could get something similar for up here too.
