Why should you have to hack the GPS aerial?
The DVD shouldn't be working when the vehicle's moving anyway. There's a reason why that rule is in place.
I know the screen in my car either goes to static, or switches to GPS, when the handbrake is off or the car's ignition is off. Problem is the car can be rolling in neutral under these circumstances.

cant get pics yet as he is working up north but spoke to him and he said he took it into alberts car stereo and they fitted an alpine video convertor??.Not sure if it made a difference but it also had dvds in the rear headrests too.He tells me they swapped most of the gear over when he swapped from 100 series cruiser to 200 series.

When the GPS switches satilites. the signal varies slightly. the unit thinks it is moving (ie a metre or so in any direction)

This is what I have been told in regards to the arial even for a stationary vehicle.

But yes, moving pictures + moving vehicle = Bad Mkay
