Help! 6 or 7 wires to 1GGTE AFM

Just opened my AFM and noticed all 7 pins are connected inside, but i only have 6 wires on the plug.

The one i'm missing is the 3rd in ( next to power and earth) I believe it goes to the temp probe? in front of the flap.

Can anyone help me out and confirm 6 or 7? on their plug.

Hi, just went out to the garage to check for you.

I have only 6 contacts on the connector, there is a slot on the connector for a 7th contact, but it is not there.

On the port on the AFM, there is 7 contacts, not sure why, maybe a provision for some device on different model cars.

I have a 1989 Toyota Soarer GZ20, It has an Automatic Transmission.

after looking a little deeper that wire is internally connected to the 3rd wire fron the other end so it's ok,

So are you saying there are actually 7 wires on the Cable but only 6 Contacts on the end of the cable on the connector because one wire is spliced into another?

I wonder why it's like that.

there are 6 wires going to the AFM, inside the AFM there are 7 pins but 2 of them are internally connected.

Why, maybe they are both earth / power.
