ae86 accel cable

anyone know where i can get a accelerator/throttle cable to fit my ae86 with a 4age? if there not avaliable through toyota, what are people using instead?

I used a KE70 throttle cable, it's a bit too long for a 16V but for a 20V it's good. Cost all of $10 at a wreckers.

How are you going with the conversion?

I got the JDM AE86/4AGE cable. $60 brand new from Toyota and as you would expect, fits perfect .. I found the KE70 one way too long and made for a slightly notchy feel, but for a cheap fix its the way to go.

mate had to get one made not sure on price though but its perfect fit etc.
im not sure if your from wollongong or just go UoW but i think there is a place down in keira street that do throttle cables etc. ads are in the back of the mercury normally, tomorrow when dad gets the paper ill have a look if you want

The KE70 cable i have fits quite well with the quads.

Start with a KE70 cable and shorten it to suit - it's a fairly long cable and works well for a lot of different conversions.

$60 bucks from toyota?!?
i went in there yesterday and they said they couln't get it, but there fools down our way anyways. would you have a part number by any chance so i can ring the sydney toyota (castlehill/grove or whatever). and yes, im from wollongong.

conversion is going good: finished seam welding, motor/box is in, my auto elec mate is nearly done will the full (aka everything new) wiring, got the fuel system done and fitted, interior/chassis is about to get painted (waiting on the rollcage to arrive). just fixing up small things like puttin one of those mini oddyssey batteries inside the car etc etc.
