Front swaybar for st141 Corona...what can I use?

I need an uprated front bar for my rt141 rona wagon.

Need to sort something asap, track time weekend after next.

Question is whats available or fits from other models?

Have had a good search around but cant find anything difinitive.

I'd be looking at spring rate and dampers first.

My car runs a ~27mm front swaybar, but a standard rear. To be honest I think bump and rebound adjustable shocks would be best.

If you are hard up, then look at dual standards in parallel with clamps.

Whiteline make a larger rear, but nothing for the front.

You may be able to borrow mine for the weekend if it fits

FYI, I have clamps that may work on my TA22. You will obviously have to get your hands dirty though

As in they need to be removed from the TA22?

Could probably work, I have another standard bar I could cut the ends of and run for a double.

Rear shocks have been adressed as axle tramp was becoming a prob.

Got me some bigbore short stroke pedders jobbies, same shock the HQ race guys use in the rear.

Want to play with the springs and front inserts next but time and money is a factor atm.


I'm thinking, a ma61/ra60 bar should go straight in?

The bar is on the car, but it is only undoing 8 nuts...

You can borrow my front if you want (confirm it fits), but you would be doing the hard work The Celica is my only running car, so I need to know in advance.

Early Commodore rear springs fit but depending on what you want dont put Pedder in as they are very very stiff made my old 141 wagon near lift off the ground when hit a bump or rut.Try early Cressida for front bar may fit not sure.

MA61 whiteline 27mm out of jacks drift car (dec.) jobbie fitted straight on my RA60, and RA60 bars fit RT142s, soooo MA61 bar should fit st141.

standard MA61 swaybar may even be an improvement.

Excellent news there Will, I will make some measurements N phone calls and hopefully sort something.

Partly I need a bar that not only is firmer but might allow me to fit a standard pan to the 1j...

hey Brett did u mean commodore rear springs in the front of the corona ? iv got vn rears in the back of mine if they fit in the front ill get another pair

No only rears.Fronts may fit,never tried.
