    Default 2JZ-GTE + 3800 Torque Converter help?!

I upgraded my torque converter recently from 2800 to a 3800 and I've run into a little problem - it won't stall past 3000rpm!

I'd do everything as you are supposed to do when stalling it up, and as soon as it reaches 3000rpm, it goes down to about 2500rpm, then back up to 3000 and so forth.

I'm still using the stock ECU with an emanage ultimate piggybacked to it, and I'm fairly confident the stock ECU is cutting off fuel at 3000rpm as a safety precaution because the car is under load but still stationary.

Is there a way to get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Can you get a fuel computer to control that?

Or could you do something like the 1JZ boost cut defender do, but make the computer think that its no longer stationary when stalling or something???

I actualy have no idea, just throwing ideas out there

Jase, that's what I have in mind at the moment - using a 2nd speed sensor to feed a dummy signal to the ECU when the engine reaches 3000rpm so it doesn't cut off...just overly complicated to do

Shane, didn't know Mike had a Supra himself! I'll give Mike a call from MV because that's where I ordered the TC from.

i would say its a computer issue of some sort because the max stall should be pretty much judged by the revs its at just before it starts to lose traction.

    strange that the rpm drops.
