it's not just the oil - the turbo manifold will radiate enough heat (particularly during the track day) to set the hose on fire.

If it's just short-term, get some cheap silicon (not rubber) heater hose.

I've used rubber before, much further away from the manifold then that (had a 6" long steel pipe off the flange) and it still managed to get brittle and crack causing leakage.

On my current setup I've got Earls prolite line with the flameguard covering. I've already managed to make a royal mess of it due to locking the timing and forgetting to unlock it (ie, antilag more or less, constantly). The house is about 1" from the manifold COLLECTOR. Moves away, just where the fitting screws onto the drain flange is the issue. The flameguard has already started to deteriorate. First real power pushing session will be on the dyno, and I'll watch it closely (with a fire extinguisher at hand )

Do you still have the std oil return from the ct26? may be able to use the flexiable first part of this to get it past the runners and closer to the turbo then just run some rubber hose?

As for the hose kinking you can get a metal coil type thing (cant think of what it is called at the moment) which you slip over the rubber hose then you can bend it to the shape you want.. This will support the rubber hose and stop it from kinking (what I am using on my 7M setup)

get a longer hose, and with the extra length, push it out further towards the front of the car, towards the oil filter.

will keep a downwards slope as well as keeping it slightly further away from the mannyphold.

heres my revised bodge up, doesnt look pretty but hasnt cost a cent so far, its just copper pipe 17.3mm (ID) which ill join with a 90 degree silicon bend. the silicon section will be much further away then any part of the rubber would have been.

given the drain outlet of the turbo is 20mm

can any1 see any problems with this or am i on a winner (meaning: yes it looks rough but will be safe)

The hose will still live a short life but no one will be able to give you exact numbers on that. It's probably better than a full rubber or whatever hose and will probably last long enough to get you through what you want to do but i'd still put it on my 'list of things to change' along with keeping an eye on it.

Just check it every now and then and see how hard its becomming.

Oh, and wrap it in some heat stuff.
