    External pumps don't have to be loud. My external Walbros don't make any more noise than the old internal Walbro setup. It all comes down to how and where you mount them.

    As Norbie noted the noise has a lot to do with how it's setup, the current setup in my car has two external pumps and you can barely hear them*, the same pumps used how I previously mounted them was quite noticeable in terms of noise.
