Installing Intercooler, some questions

rubber hose and clamps is good in the short term. but when you're lazy (me) and don't upgrade to to something like braided... just be prepared for some cleaning in the engine bay. i don't think rubber likes heat and vibration...

The main thing is to get the right fittings. Factory rubber hose seems to last just fine, and that's not the greatest stuff either. Silicone hose is not tooo expensive, and a lot better at handling heat (doesn't dry out). As far as the battery goes, just get new clamps. Not too pricey at all, and they look pretty

Here are some pics from the install (Phone camera)
Custom copper power steer lines, this was later remade with proper hydraulic hosing.

Fits nice and easy, and good as I can keep the crash bar/bumper support.

Proper T bolt clamps FTW

Hose clampos arent that strong (I used to break them all the time trying to tighten enough to stop IC piping blowing off). Thse T things never budge.

ahh ok, didnt see the pic for some reason! I will know next time, if any blow, I will upgrade, for now, its fine hehe

I ran hose clamps for 12 months with no worries, I reckon unless youre constantly popping cooler pipes off keep the hose clamps and if you want the bling then go for the proper t clamps
