    Default jza70 electrical problem :(

was just travelling home the other day when all of a sudden all my dash cuts out ( digi dash ) radio turns off and the motor had no power ( no spark I would assume )

Pulled over to the edge of the road. And this was what I found

    Headlights worked
    Hazards workd
    Interior lights worked
Blitz sbc I colour worked as well as afc neo when ignition turned to on ( so ecu was turning on and functioning )
    Tail lights didn't work
    Brake lights didn't work
When I turn the key to on. It doesn't set off my car alarm or stop it from immobilizing ( but alarm still works on the doors and shock sensor etc )

Initially thought it was a fuse but checked them all and there all fine

I did plug my sub back in that morning. So perhaps that has something to do with it. But not sure cause it worked fine before

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar. Or know where I should start checking. Iam fair stumped at where to even start atm

lol sorry i posted like 3 of these stupid hiptop

    mate, i missread your post
you were right, i actually had a look and noticed them big ass fuses as u put it. ahahah

ended up being the alt fuse. changed the fuse. and the battery would ark of its head when hooked up.
disconnected the alternator and it started fine. (allthough not charging.) so will have to sort out that tomorrow now

well its definatly something to do with the altenator, cause i drove it to my dads house to work on it today.
so iam gunna pull the altenator out and probably get it reconditioned or something.
hopefully that will be the problem. or the lines travelling to it.

That big cable that goes to the alternator, I'm guessing you disconnected and taped it up?

If there is 12v there and it sparks when you connect it to the stud on the alternator, then chances are the alternator needs looking at.
