Thermostat is stuck open or there is a dirty connection on the temp sender wire (it's the single wire, flat spade plug on the water tree near the dizzy) - give it a clean
ok so after two 12-15 minute drives tonight my celica didnt hardly move off the starting temperature. Now im thinkin this maybe cos its cold at night but it was definently over atleast a 10 minute drive, and when i got home it was still idling at around 1300rpm normally idles at 800rpm. So im thinkin it musta warmed up a bit right?
My second question, when i got in the car again, after it sitting from the first drive for about 40 minutes, the needle was at a little under a 1/4 of the temperature then it dropped back down straight away when i turned it on and didnt move from it.
So what the hells going on?

is it the green plugged one by any chance?

Nope, that's either the temp sensor for the ECU or the cold start timer switch... it's a single wire plug, the most simple looking one on there

ok checked that wire, it looked fine was still attached, this is shitting me off. The thermo fans are also constantly on aswell anyone know WTF is going on here!!

thermo fans constantly on points to an electrical issue - if your thermostat was stuck open they'd never kick in
ECU temp sender may be giving the wrong signal
ok well i just made matters worst i think. I was playing around with the keys in the on position but the car not actaully being on, and i took the 30A fan fuse out, and whaddya know the fans stopped work, unfortunatly when i put em back in they didnt start back up, and now when i turn the AC on the fan dont come on either..... what have i done?....i think i might take it down to an auto eleccy

First I'd be checkin that you didn't blow a fuse, then check your connectors for the fans.
Then I would definately consider havin a new thermostat put in because it's really the only thing that'll be keeping the engine so cool, something that's acting strange like this could be a two sided affair. (e.g. the Thermostat might be up the shit and there could be a electrical fault somewhere.)
