1JZ-GTE Alternator Price?

My understanding of these late model units is that a genuine Toyota "regulator" (I may have the terminology wrong here, going off memory), is near on $100 alone, before any other reconditioning costs. You can use aftermarket regs but these don't last as long apparently, but that the price difference of a $150 recon and a $300 recon.

Yeah when i went to rebuild mine it was near the 300 anyway, thats why i got the new one, and u cant get one part, the rectifer... u can only buy the brush's, bearings, regulator, diode pack

from the box i have in the shed its a Ingram part number DXA497 and cant remember if they do a RXA497, D= New R= Reco
that part number is listed as a Lexus and for the 4l v8, But by memory this is the part i used on my 93model soarer, just needed to change the plug but can buy a adapter plug thru ingram
this is just what i have to 100% that i did use the v8 one on the 6cyl, im 99% sure i did but want to be 110% before somebody buys the DXA497 and it dont fit

ok.. by looking at the pics above and the 200amp 1uz alt i have in the shed, they look the same..

but i still want to confirm first

This is all that was replaced on mine and its as good as new. (reg and brushes?)



However my mates one, the bearings had failed so they were replaced also.
