never mind, raa came to my assistance and prompt they were as well.
hey guys, does anyone know how to break into an ra40 celica?
i locked my car door but now it won't unlock.
i turn the key and it feels like the inner mechanism is no longer connected as i can't feel anything move, and if i look at the lock on the inside it definately isn't moving.
please pm me the solution as soon as possible if you know how to break into these sorts of cars.
note for those that are averse to breaking into any kind of car the mechanism is not on top of the inside of the door it is on the inside skin and down a little way from the top (ra60, ra23/8 would possibly be the same style of mechanism).
mucho cheers to anyone that knows how to do it.

I would have suggested the same key in the passenger side door

you know it's strange, the raa guy asked that exact same question.
I then had to explain to him that i had disabled the barrell on the passenger side years ago.
He then proceeded to frown at me in a disapproving way.
It was disabled because most dodgy theives like to use the screwdriver and spin method to open a car door, i wanted to make sure they had one less lock to try it on so disabled the pin.
