EGR Cooler ? Where to ?

Hi

I am fitting 22RE EFI gear to my 22R engine and have come to yet another question.

Attached photo shows what I believe is the EGR cooler?

What I wanted to know was does the EFI engine use this? and where does the open end of picture 2 connect to ?
I believe the carby engine had it connected to a black bulb like thing which was connected to the air filter inlet on top of the carby.


Any advice would be appreciated.

Thats the air injection there, rip it all off , the egr cooler is on the back of the head , just plate it off and get rid of it all . If it has to go for any tests just leave the egr valve on and put a thin shim between it and the head .
