We checked the amps across the fuel pump and it's just sitting on 5.5 and maxed out at 6 amps. All the wiring back there is fine, nothing exposed. Under the fuse box looks all good too. Really got me stumped as to what it could be. Does anyone know or would recomend any auto elecs in melb? South east preferably.

Hi.
Check the insulation resistance of the cabling. You will need to speak to an electrician friend or auto electrician who has a megger to do this.
Make sure you disconnect any loads (injectors, sensors, pumps etc) before testing.
You may find there is a small break in cable insulation that is shorting onto the body somewhere or an earthed point which is causing the fuse to blow.
As suggested above, do not ever increase the tripping size of a fuse or circuit breaker as they are designed to protect the cabling and not the device. It only takes a short amount of time for cabling to heat up and cause a fire.
Hope this helps.
