rear auto transmission seal removal help

Output shaft should have almost 0 movement.

that looks like usual wear when the extention housing bush wears out. Now hopefully only the bush has worn and not the extention housing, but with that amount of wear I would not be sure.
Was it not giving you a vibration?
go to any auto trans place, they would more than likely have a second hand extention housing, new bush and seal.
If you was in south aus I would have got you to come to our workshop.

Bit of a thread revival here, but I have a quick question. I've been trying to remove the seal for the last hour now. I have the dust cover off but I cannot remove the metal that's shown by the green dotted line in the first post. Is that part of the seal? The replacement seal is all plastic/rubber. I have damaged the metal already trying to remove it as it simply won't budge!!

Any help would be amazing!
