Default blocked 4agze /4age waterway, how to unblock

    I'm rebuilding a 4agze and have a problem

On checking the waterways, spraying (WD40 etc) into it shows its blocked, I cleaned out the downward with a drill, but its still blocked.

    somewhere on the dotted line.

    Any ideas?

    is that the oil hole?

    edit: seems not http://www.philskies.net/library/peter/4age-block.jpg

does the metal between the cylinders join there?

your just going to have to work at it with differant peice's of wire, is that the only blocked path ?, it mite be a good idea to get the block acid bathed and de-scaled.

is the bottem end together ?

The block was stripped down (completely) and checked for flatness etc, and tanked.

Only on build up did I notice this was blocked. Its sludge, i'm 99% sure the H/g went on this engine its oily like deposits.

I solved it, mixture of wire, nitromors syringed in and carb cleaner. It unblocked it.

Wahoo, pistons going in this weekend

    Cheers for the help

    Glad you unblocked it ..

But i am curious does the head gasket actually have a hole in it that actually lines up with the said hole ? ..

Piece of mind there then, is a major pain in the ass to sort out (one of the reasons I stopped the rebuild for a while), but did it.
