    Default ST162 Car Stereo Replacement/Installation

    Hi Guys,
I was just into replacing my current stock radio and (faulty) tape player in my ST162 with a new CD/mp3 player head unit.

I have been searching quite a bit, but no success in finding accurate guides for my car's model

Anyone know how to do the replacement or know of any good already done tutorials/guides?

    Thanx So Much!

Don't know of any guides but there isn't much to it...

    1. remove trim piece that goes around radio, clock etc

    2. unbolt radio

    3. unplug radio

    4. throw stock radio in bin

    5. wire up new cd player

    6. bolt new cd player onto the factory bracket in much the same way the standard radio was bolted to it

    7. plug in new cd player and test

    8. if all is good bolt the bracket with the cd player and DIN on it back in

    9. refit centre trim piece

How do I do this? Coz I've had difficulty all day trying to remove it! I've even dinted the trim

I even tried removie the dash which is located ahead of the gear stick, and i think i've permanently left it sticking out

    tried the ozcelica forums?

or goto a car shop... or try your local libary and get a haynes manual. they'll tell/show you how to pull the dash apart.
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
