I used to get about 130 from the diesel, so my reference point is a bit skewed...
190 on mine is the odo reset button...

Been meaning to fit the cut remover anyway, & it only takes about 30mins.
Just got to figure out where the ECU is (prob behind glovebox) & also which wire (I think its purple/yellow on Toyotas) to intercept.

I'm doing 140 through the kink. I'd hope shane you're doing more than 150. That said, 10 or 20km/h at that end of the speedo is not a small margin, and needs plenty of room to generate - which wakefield doesn't have.

Steve, at eastern creek; coming out of 12 at 110(ish? it's been a while, think apex speed of ~95-100?) running down that hill, and not having to brake before turning into 1 gets me to 160. 165 (haven't nudged 170) into 2.

I realise that's not that impressive to people like Justen who sneeze and accidently accelerate from 150 -> 200. But just gives you an idea with a much longer straight, a faster entry to it and bugger all braking zone at the end compared to wakefield.

Justen/Shane/anybody else run at EC and can give some idea on speeds? Also around the back? I get pretty much to the top of 3rd (~135-140) at the braking points into turns 4, 7 and 11 (braking through 6 and 10?)

I've never done a lap of EC. Hopefully will do in December.

All I know is at WP I take it to the shift light in 4th down the straight and can push a bees dick more in fifth if game and 4th onto the shift light is over 172km/h (based upon my runs at EC over the 1/4).

What is the wagon meant to pull over a 1/4? High 13/low 14??

Got no idea what the 1/4 is supposed to be. I haven't had a chance to do it myself.

Garth, I'm guessing your speed is based on your rolla?
So with my extra grip, plus 400cc & a hairdryer (& extra weight ) would push me onto the limiter at the end of the main straight at EC

If I can get this thing fixed, I'd be keen for EC too.
Only time I've driven it was a couple of years ago, reverse direction, at night, on rally tyres (marshalling for ARC)

I think your slight power advantage might be useful too.
I'm hoping to give you a good run for your money round the back tho.

I'm interested in people's opinions about what speed they hit down the straight tho.
I should get around to fitting that speed limiter remover sometime (cuts in at an guessimated 190km/h)
the GT4 gets to ~155 down the straight...so you will be fine at wakefield.

By memory I think Roundy makes about 160 down the straight and his car would be the most representative comparison to yours. I think you will be safely under the 190 speedcut.

EDIT: just missed out, he beat me to it

I use to drop a knee on the 250cc at 205kph into turn 1 but never paid attention around the rest of the track as i was too busy riding. i use to do consistent 1:45-46's which wasn't too bad but my best mate still has lap record for the class at 1:42.8 which is smoking around there on a prody.

    cheers
