    Default X8 gtst/BA brake conversion.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to convert my shitty cresta brakes into some cool nissan/ford brakes
I've bought the calipers, and now looking at getting the rotors and pads, and I'm wanting to do it right, so I'm just wondering what brands I should look at in both the rotors and pads. I think I'll go with ferodo pads if I can find some easily available, as I've heard they're good both in lack of brake dust and braking ability. With regards to the rotors, there's quite a lot on eBay that seem to be RDA ripoffs for ~$90-120. There's also RDA ones on eBay for $~200, and they're slotted, and DBA ones on eBay for $~400, again slotted.
Is there any benefit to a particular brand? Should I go with slotted, or just stick with vanilla rotors? Also, where will I be able to pick up rotors for the cheapest price? Will any place give me a bulk deal on rotors & pads even though they're for completely different cars?

RIng around and get quotes for the cheapest price. As for the bulk deal, how manys sets are you going to buy?

What sort of application are you going to use the brakes under? If just street i would go for the plain rotors. They seem to be quieter than the slotted ones and do a ample job in street use. If the car is going to be used for track or constant hard braking i would go the slotted. As you have seen there is a fair price differance between the two, why pay for want your not gonna use.

As for brand bite the bullet and get the DBA's. Have heard many stories of the RDA's wearing out quickly and warping, as well as looking shit as they rust. The DBA's have a better vented pattern in the disc too i think.

For an idea on price i got the DBA non slotted for $80 bux each and with good pads they work sweet as.
