hey,
Seen these pads, Queensland Friction Material (QFM) K750 aka A1RM on ebay and some other places for more then $100 less then ferodo DS2500's
Just wondering if anyone has used them and wishes to share their experience, might be a good cheap alternative for pads. Im mostly after hard driving/track use and rotor wear info.
cheers
nathan

Haven't tracked my QFMs yet. Can't remember there number, but they're the second set up from Street Pads.
Brilliant pads, I find you need to fade them once, then they come good after they've cooled. And won't fade again.
Rotor wear, haven't noticed much wear at all.
A few people complain they're slightly dusty, but I don't find this at all.
And you can get them for less then $100 in shops.
hmmmm was it the K500's?
I said I didn't know what model they were. I still won't no matter how much you call out the names for them.
Told my brake specialist what they were for, he handed them over. I know they're 1 up from the street pads.
ah ok sorry was trying to trip your memory
All good man.
Sorry about being short before.
Had just gotten home from a bad day at work...
Yeah, the only help I can give, is when you look at the heat ranges, there's the street pad, then the next one up. That's what I run, and love them!
if you search these on google etc. you'll find alot of threads from alot of other forums ranting and raving about these
im keen on getting a set of QFMs myself for my next brake change
i found alot of threads with the same guy trying to sell them but i couldnt find one post saying that were good for track use or what they were like which makes me sceptical
I haven't tracked them, but I've done RNP runs which can be over 20 minutes depending... And giving the brakes a hiding, they didn't fade out once.Originally Posted by naten
I reckon they'll handle 20 minute sprints on the track.
hmmmmm might be worth a crack then. hell its only money
So where to get them?
I gather retailers wont be easy to find?
