hey guys, just got myself a MZ20 and the motors' done about 194xxx km. as i was driving to work, the car starting to rumble like a wrx and idle went down to around 500-600rpm. was waiting at the lights, as they went green, a massive puff of white smoke covered the car behind(no wasnt a burnout lol) but after that the car drove like normal...i got thinking its either spark plugs or leads so i got a set of leads on order and i plan to get some new plugs tomorrow morning.
Took a chance and drove the car home from work just an hour ago and she was still idling low and still rumbling weirdly but then after it was alright but then come back again. After 20 mins the temp gauge started moving towards the hot side. highest it got to was 3/4 (two more "bars" before under the H.
anyone got any ideas why it would do that?
thanks in advance
rick
edit, just remembered the heater wasnt working either, 29 degrees and still blowing cold air and engine was warm.

Time for some ARP and MHG... dude. I would have it checked before i drive it any more, because you could also end up with a ROD Knock. First hand experience.

Why do you call it a poo mate....last time i checked it made a hell of a lot power than a
1G.
then again dont go assuming that i think 1G is a POO motor.
p00 is what the 7m is called around here, get used to it.

What you are suggesting that since 1JZ go through ECU's, Ignitors, i should nominate a rather crappy description just solely based on that fact alone.
oops i should have refereshed before my post
lol well atm i think its a p00 motor because just done some checks and milky cap, low coolant, sweet smelling exhaust...damn BHG..i might have the car up for sale now so if someone wants it cheap. it has had a rear ender but i have new taillights and needs a rear bar and some beating. im not happy as this was going to be a project cruiser
Have you got any pic..or where abouts in vic are you

if you read back on how the 7M got the p00 motor nickname you'll find it was a few 7M owners mainly Glen (blacksupra) who in jest were calling their 7M's p00.
incidentally Glen's 7M is most likely the most powerful 7M in the club.
lighten up man its all fun.
