meh...
nah its the year model before the S family engine was introduced to the celica's
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
Why not go with a BEAMS and a J160 combo....
In the USA all you got was the venerable 22RE, even though the 3SG would be giving up displacement, the power output of the BEAMS makes up for the loss.
It would also likely IMPROVE the cars balance
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
if its an RA65 then the easiest 2litre turbo motor to put in is a 1G-GTE do a search for 1G-GTE swap into celica and you will find HEAPS of info
- ma61 + 2jz-gte + v160 + 3.5 torsen

Or you could find yourself a 22RTE
1JZ MZ20 Soarer - 4AGZE KE70 Corolla - 4AGE AE86 - 4AGE KE70
Which he won't, because they were sold in the US market only. And they're crap anyway.

You could also turbo an 18R(G?) if you want to keep it a 4cyl. A 3TGTE will be an easy swap too, but it is an 1800. Technically they can take an 89mm bore though which will have it at almost 2L.
