Might help us if we know what car, what engine, and what (if any) mods were done to fit it.

well here is the tip.
my car MX83 7MGE. 1989 model...so wrong crossmember for the 1JZ ...or is it?
put a front sump on my JZZ30 Soarer donor motor...
Used stock new 7mge rubber below mounts on drivers and passenger side.
and use two of the mounts i have pitured and it just slots into place.
Tried and tested ....it works. so no need for the later model crossmember.
U can use the 89 one as long as u have two mounts like ive shown. there both inlet side items and ive found thatthey may be ou oft a 2JZGE VVTi model. most likely IS300 or Aristo. or the like.
Only mod made to the mount is it has been milled down 9 mm to allow the nut to thread onto the original thread coming out of the 7M bottom mount.
^^^^has anyone discovered this before? or is this old news ....may help a few MX83 to 1JZ convertors if we can work out what it is.
i only tried a bunch of different mounts cause i couldnt find a late model crossmember anywhere.
now all i need is one more lol. can anyone confirm that its from the models i mentioned?
pics and advice on who would have one would be awesome.
cheers

The 'late model' crossmember from memory was mid/late 89, so yours may be the late model depending on what month the build is.
If it is the early model one then this is the first I've heard of stock Toyota mounts bolting up. And thus I cannot help any further!
Cept maybe for you to get an EPC and spend a few hours looking at different mounts in it.

Me things its off a M series block because of the 'M' cast onto it? What engine is it bolted onto and you do know that there are two mouning positions. one to suit JZA70 crossmember and one to suit the JZX81 crossmember - one is forward of the other but not sure which one (may be the JZA70 that is forward since the crossmember is forward to suit the rear sump).
If youre trying to mount a JZ series motor in your Cressida, then just buy the alloy mounts from toyota. Arent too expensive ($200-300 for both from memory).
Look at the pdf document attached and you will be after the top alloy section only - which will bolt up to the MX83 lower rubber ONLY if you have a later crossmember.
Part numbers are as follows (the document is JZA70)The changeover date for the crossmembers was Feb 1990 to match the release of the 1JZ in Japan. JZX81 production started in Aug 90, the exact same time our Series 2 MX83 was put into production.
Right Hand side - 12311-46020
Left Hand side - 12315-46020
EDIT: also didnt realise that you are still trying to use the early model crossmember, in which case what i have said wont 'bolt up'.

Those mounts are late model 2JZ - the mounts you got from me (I assume the one in the pic) came from a USDM 2JZGE VVTi with a Lexus engine cover - so I assume either IS300 or GS300?!
correct........ thanks clint. can anyone help me out with one?
will pay what ever it takes to get it and posted to me.

Start looking on the US forums for another one of those exacts mounts dude.
I'd start with eBay USA.

p.s. You are missing a long stud and nut.
They are USDM IS300. Possibly AUDM too.
