for 16" ive found 245/45/16s..... then theres the common 225/50/16. 205's..... yadda yadda,
15's i dont know sorry.
Looking at purchasing some new wide rims. Have the option of either 15" or 16".
However, when I had 16x9 Simmons before, I found there were very few options when it came to finding a suitable width tyre without a huge side wall. Like if you wanted a 295, it was basically a 4wd Cooper tyre with a huge side wall on it.
So, without ringing around all the shops and getting fobbed off cos they're only intersted in recommending tyres for "which car, what year", what size tyres can be found in 15" with a width in between 225-295. The wider the better, as long as the side wall isnt huge.
BTW, I'm not into stretching tyres either.
Thanks in advance

I was in the same position but I was looking for tires in 14 (even rarer).
Anyways these where my choices:
Toyo
225/50/15 proxes R888 / Proxes RA1
Yokohama:
225/60R15 95H
235/60R15 98H
245/60R15 100H
255/60R15 102H
275/60R15 107H
265/50R15 99H
295/50R15 105H
for 16" you can get a 255/50 from toyo.

I had a problem with my 16x9s. Nankang NS-1's 245/45 were the go. Or Toyo have same size but more dosh.
If you want to go crazy Pirelli do (or at least used to) a 285/40 15 and a 345/35 15. For my KE70 I'm running a 245/35 17 Eagle F1 which has a similar rolling dameter to a 225/50 15.

I'd love to get my hands on those 285/40/15 for the rear, they are now obselete thru Pirelli though. If anyone see,s some, let me know.Originally Posted by WDE_BDY
I think 16's will be the go though, with a 245/40/16. anything wider than that and you're looking at 4wd ballons![]()
Have seen a pair of the 345/35's for sale on Trade Me in NZ, were imported from the US. That was about 12 months ago though.
