Be careful, not all the hilux models have an F in the front (looked at one in the selfwreck the other day that was stamped G,G on the plate).

As for the upgrade, I will also suggest the 7.5. It is significantly more robust than the 6.7 and has a wealth of available LSD options, lockers, and spools.
There are no spools available for the 7.5" F-series diff that I could find. Anywhere. If someone does know where to find one please point me that way because I want one.

All USDM AE86 GT-S (yes w/4age) came with a disc brake 6.7" T-series rear axle (same as the JDM).

The S-series that came in the ADM version is the USDM 'SR-5' rear axle, 6.38" drum brake axle.

True, unfortunately for me it was after how I figured out how to drift with very very slight clutch kicks... if at all. I just carried momentum for long sweepers or dori. Learning/basic stuff my t-series was fine for over a year.

I also made it to the point I broke a pinion tooth, bent a spool (it walks like a crankshaft now) and twisted the splines on an axle all at the same time

It had about 6 mo driving time, and probably a fair amount of abuse

T series can take SUBSTANTAILLY more torque when the crush sleeve is removed in favor of a non crush type sleeve.
